ATAER Mining, an OYAK Group company, started activities in 2020 with the purpose of establishing Iron Ore Beneficiation and Pelletizing Plant in Hasançelebi, Malatya, in order to utilize our country’s domestic natural resources at the maximum level, bring them into the economy and to create benefit for national economy through the way of decreasing pellet import.

With the plant to be established to create new resources, 65 percent of our country’s iron ore production is planned to be realized. The studies are ongoing to meet the iron ore demand of our country through Türkiye’s and OYAK’s second and largest capacity Iron Ore Pelletizing Plant. ATAER mining aims at contributing to our country’s economy by processing our country’s rich underground resources in the most efficient way.

With the partnership of ATAER Mining and Japanese JFE Steel, the Beneficiation and Pelletizing Plant, which is planned to be completed in approximately 55 months, is expected to reduce foreign dependency by 350 million dollars annuıaly.
